Strip Search at McDonald's
I don't know if anyone remembers this from 2004 or not, but it was on 20/20's website. I guess they replayed it again to bring awareness. It shows a manager speaking to someone on the phone who says that he is a police office claiming that one of the employees that worked there had stolen a customer's purse. The manager calls back the young girls and continues to follow the instructions of the so-called officer. He orders the manager to tell the girl to undress in front of her to see if she has taken anything. So the girl does and spends over an hour sitting in the nude waiting to get justice. The caller was not an officer and was caught. But I can't believe that there are people out there that would do something like that. People need to know their rights when it comes to any situation.

Yeah, remeber this, they did a recent show becasue the managers involved had charges brought against them and to question at what point was to far. The did an interview with the Female supervisor becasue what she allowed to go on was so horedous and oevr the top. However, she claimed she thought it was the police and she was not aware of the sexual abuse that happen. As well, I don't understand how anyone that this was normal - quite weird if you ask me. and that poor girl said she was taught to do what her elders said with no questions, but she took those rules so literal. It is really sad and unfortunate.
Wow! I acutually had the time to view the news report on television on my night off from work. You know what? I am completely appalled at how persuasive these girls and their managers were. I know McDonalds does not pay these girls "mega bucks" to take their clothes off to be stripped searched. I agree with Naomie, these people should have known something was up. Even if a purse was stolen, their clothes should not be taken off. Candance statement is very true that "people need to know their rights... in any situation." I just do not understand how people think!
